The Insignificant Sparrow is an acrylic 16×20 painting that is varnished, nestled in a floater frame, and wired for immediate installation. My inspiration for the sparrow comes from appreciating the mundane beauty that surrounds us, if we choose to see it. Matthew 10:29-30 “Are not two sparrows sold for a copper penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Luke 12:6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God.” Love and beauty can be found in the common, the everyday, the unworthy. May we all find beauty in the world around us.
